Lying hidden within the picturesque Nyamasanga River Valley is Bushman Rock Estate Winery and Vineyard, currently the only boutique winery in Zimbabwe. Located on the western bank of Theo’s Dam at an altitude of 1 500m, the 14 hectares of vines enjoy the benefit of cooling breezes from the lake while the summer sun ripens and concentrates the juices in the grapes. These factors, combined with the gently sloping hills of decomposed granite on which our vines are planted, allow us to create uniquely Zimbabwean-styled wines.

Over the years we have carefully selected and planted noble grape varieties to make the most of the special conditions and terroir of our valley. This means that our wines reflect a very different character to those produced in South Africa and lean more towards some European styles of wine. At Bushman Rock we understand that one’s relationship with wine is personal and believe that visitors with an appreciation of wine will enjoy our diverse range.
